Virtues of Imam Zaman in Surah Asr and Realizing of relationship between Quran and Mahdism

Verse:

وَالْعَصْرِ‌ إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ لَفِي خُسْرٍ‌

Sura Asr, verses 1-2

 

Translation:

By time. Indeed, mankind is in loss. (By Muhammad Muhsin Khan and Muhammad Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali)

Explanation of the verse:

Sheikh sadough has narrated from Imam Sadeq (AS) in Kamal-o-din that the meaning of عصر (time) in this verse, is the time of coming and rising up of Imam Mahdi (AJ). In Kashf-ol-asrar interpretation the cause of revelation of this verse is said to be about Asvad-ibn-e-shariq-al-qoreshi and also about Valid-ibn-e-mogheyre. Some people also believe that these verses were descended about a man from Qoresh, called Jamil. In Nemoone interpretation and volume 10 of Noor interpretation it has been written that the some people supposed the meaning of عصر (time), as the era of appearance of Islam. Some other, meant عصر (time) with its literal meaning which is Pressure; because pressures causes removing neglect and causes endeavor and innovation in human beings. Another group of people believe that عصر (time) means عصاره (extract) of the existence who is the perfect human being and some other believe it means the عصر (here it means afternoon) prayer. Also in Noor-o-thaqaleyn interpretation, Havizi has narrated from Imam Sadeq (AS) that: ((the meaning of عصر (time) is the age of rising up of Imam Mahdi (AJ).)) Husseyni shah abd-ol-azimi in Athna ashari interpretation has narrated some other narrations too; for instance: swear to time of any prophet, the time of Prophet Mohammad (PH), is superior to all other times.  The time has many wonders for the ones who have insight; like coming and going of day and night which are according to dispensation and tactfulness of a prudent existence. So it is an object to deny what people attribute to universe; including loss or other things. The other narration is: swear to God of time, the afternoon prayer which is according to majority (of people) the middle prayer, and has the advantage of superiority. In Borhan interpretation by Mohamad-ibn-e-sanan, he has narrated from Mofazal-ibn-e –omar that: I asked from Imam Sadeq (AS) about ((والعصر)) and he stated: ((العصر (the time) is uprising of Qaem (AJ).))

This narration is also narrated in vo;ume 24, 64 and 66 of Behar-ol-anvar by Majlesi, second volume of Kamal-o-din by Shwikh sadough, Al-borhan fi tafsir-el-Quran interpretation by Bahrani, Noor-o-thaqaleyn interpretation byHavizi, Adad-ol-qaviya ledaf-el-makhavef-ol-yomiya by Ibn-e-motathar helli, Montakhab-ol-anvar-el-mozia fi zekr-el-Qaem-ol-Hojat (AS) by Ali-ibn-e-abd-ol-karim nili najafi.
