The virtues of Imam zaman in the verse Sura Saff and Realizing of relationship between Quran and Mahdism
Verse:
يُرِيدُونَ لِيُطْفِئُوا نُورَ اللَّهِ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَاللَّهُ مُتِمُّ نُورِهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْكَافِرُونَ
Sura Saff, verse 8
Translation:
Their intention is to extinguish Allah’s Light [by blowing] with their mouths: but Allah will complete [the revelation of] His Light, even though the unbelievers may detest [it].

Explanation of the verse:
Majlesi in volume 23, 24 and 51 of Behar-ol-anvar, Koleyni in first volume of Kafi, Arousi havizi in Noor-o-thaqaleyn interpretation and seyyed Hashem bahrani in Al-borhan fi tafsir-el-Quran have narrated a narration that Mohammad-ibn-e-fazil told: I asked Imam Kazem (AS) about the verse “يُرِيدُونَ لِيُطْفِئُوا نُورَ اللَّهِ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَاللَّهُ مُتِمُّ نُورِهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْكَافِرُونَ” (Their intention is to extinguish Allah’s Light [by blowing] with their mouths: but Allah will complete [the revelation of] His Light, even though the unbelievers may detest [it].). He stated: (([it means] they want to take away the light of Velayat (guardianship) of Imam Ali (AS) with their mouths.)) I told: what is the meaning of “والله متم نوره” (Allah will complete [the revelation of] His Light)? He stated: ((it means God will complete Imamate as [Allah] stated: “Believe, therefore, in Allah and His messenger, and in the Light which we have sent down. And Allah is well acquainted with all that you do.”(Sura Taghabon, verse 8) the light is Imam (AS).)) I told: what is the meaning of “هُو الذِی أَرْسَل رَسُولهُ بِالهُدَی و دِینِ الحَقّ” (It is He who has sent His Apostle with the guidance and the religion of truth)? He stated: ((he is the one who commanded his messenger about the Velayat (guardianship) of his heritor and successor and Velayat (guardianship) is the very religion of truth.)) I told: what is the meaning of “لیظهره علی‌الدین کله” (He may make it prevail over all religions)? He stated: ((when Qaem (AJ) comes, [Allah] will make this religion superior than other religions and it will overcome on other religion. It is as if the honored and glorified God stated: ((swear to Velayat (guardianship) of Ali, God will complete his light through Velayat (guardianship) of Qaem (AJ); “و لو کره الکافرون” (even though the unbelievers may detest [it].)) I told: is this the word of Quran? He stated: ((yes. These words are part of Quran but things other than them, are interpretation.))
Majlesi in volume 51 of Behar-ol-anvar, Arousi havizi in Noor-o-thaqaleyn and Qomi in second volume of Qomi interpretation have written about this verse that: Ali-ibn-e-ibrahim told: “يُرِيدُونَ لِيُطْفِئُوا نُورَ اللَّهِ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَاللَّهُ مُتِمُّ نُورِهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْكَافِرُونَ” (Their intention is to extinguish Allah’s Light [by blowing] with their mouths: but Allah will complete [the revelation of] His Light, even though the unbelievers may detest [it].) will happen through the coming of Qaem (AJ) who is from family of Prophet Mohammad (PH). When Imam (AS) comes, Islam will overbear on all religions to the point that nothing and no one would be worshiped other that Allah. And in this way, he will make the earth full of justice; as it was before, full of oppression.

Explanation of the verse:
Thaqafi Tehrani in 5th volume of Ravan javid interpretation has written about this verse that: the praised God after mentioning the behavior of children of Israel toward Moses (AS) has notified his prophet and other people by sending Jesus (AS) to that tribe and the claim of prophecy by him and confirmation of Torah and give good news of coming of the last Prophets after him by telling his name and behavior. Qomi has narrated that some of Jews asked Prophet (PH) that: why are you called “احمد” (more praise worthy)? He stated: ((since I’m more praised-worthy in the heaven than at the earth.)) apparently because Jesus (AS) has noticed the name of Prophet (PH) in the heaven and the name of Prophet (PH) at the earth was not set yet, he has given the good news of last Prophet (PH) with his heaven name. But the use of the verse is that, each of great prophets, in turn, have given the good news of coming of their finisher. Each of them have pointed out to the name which has been mentioned in their book; for example: his name in Bible is “احمد” (more praise worthy). The whole trust for external appointment was in mentioning characteristics and explaining the parentage, which has been narrated a lot. The time distance between coming of Jesus (AS) and the last Prophet (PH), according to some narrations, was 500 years and when he was appointed and remarked it through manifested miracles, the pagans of Quraysh told: this is a clear wizard. So God stated: ((who is more oppressor of himself/herself and of other people than the one who has defamed God falsely and said God has sent no prophet nor a book while she/he is being invited to Islam which the unique right religion of God and its rules are in accordance with reason and wise of human beings until Judgmental day)) and the other point is that ((divine confirmations, as was mentioned in previous verses, will not include oppressors. They want to extinguish the light of God, which are Prophet PH, Imams AS, Quran, Islam religion and the creed that is pertained to Imam Jafar Sadeq (AS), through false attributions and denying miracles; but God will bestow the blessings including perfection and integrity to his light although it is hard for infidels in order to take them down a peg. God is such a holy quality that has sent his prophet for guiding people to heaven and elaborating on the right religion which is Islam and having faith, in order to make it prevail over all other religions on the earth through proof and sword; although pagans and hypocrites detest it. This promise, which was said in the first years of Islam, to the point that shut the mouth of enemies, was accomplished and Islam was spread in the world. But its perfection and integrity will happen at the time of appearing of Imam Zaman (AJ), that there will be no religion other than Islam and Athna ashari (12 Imams AS) creed in the world. As numerous reports can be used and a slight notion of it was told to explain this verse in Sura Tobe with explanations which are not suitable to repeat them in this book, briefly we can say that this is one of the miracles of Quran and since the surface of the verse is evident external predominance over all religions; this one of the proofs of our creed that we say there should come a day in which all of the world have a same right religion and as God’s promise will not be broken such a day will come if God wants.
Seyyed Abd-ol-huseyn tayeb also, in Atyab-o-tebyan has written: we have many hadiths from Imam Ali (AS) and Imam Kazem (AS) which are very detailed and Kafi and other persons have narrated with document and the summary of them is that: “یریدون لیطفوا نورالله بافواههم” (Their intention is to extinguish Allah’s Light [by blowing] with their mouths); the meaning of “نورالله” (the light of God) is Imam Ali (AS) and the verse 8 of Sura Taghabon is the evident of the fact that the light is Imam Ali (AS). As like when someone wants to extinguish the light of sun by a blow from mouth. God will complete his light through an Imam (AS) after another Imam (AS) until Qaem from family of Prophet (PH); even if enemies detest it.
