Verse:
اللهُ نُورُ السَّماواتِ وَ الْأَرْضِ مَثَلُ نُورِهِ كَمِشْكاةٍ فيها مِصْباحٌ الْمِصْباحُ في زُجاجَةٍ الزُّجاجَةُ كَأَنَّها كَوْكَبٌ دُرِّيٌّ يُوقَدُ مِنْ شَجَرَةٍ مُبارَكَةٍ زَيْتُونَةٍ لا شَرْقِيَّةٍ وَ لا غَرْبِيَّةٍ يَكادُ زَيْتُها يُضي‌ءُ وَ لَوْ لَمْ تَمْسَسْهُ نارٌ نُورٌ عَلى نُورٍ يَهْدِي اللهُ لِنُورِهِ مَنْ يَشاءُ وَ يَضْرِبُ اللهُ الْأَمْثالَ لِلنَّاسِ وَ اللهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْ‌ءٍ عَليمٌ
Sura Noor, verse 35
Translation:
Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The Parable of His Light is as if there were a Niche and within it a Lamp: The Lamp enclosed in Glass: the glass as it were a brilliant star: Lit from a blessed Tree, an Olive, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil is well-nigh luminous, though fire scarce touched it: Light upon Light! Allah doth guide whom He will to His Light: Allah doth set forth Parables for men: and Allah doth know all things. (from www.tehranloh.ir)

Explanation of the verse:
Ibn-e-shahrashoub in first volume of Al-manaqeb narrated about this verse from Prophet Mohammad (PH) that he stated: ((O Ali! “نور” (light) is my name and “مشکاه” (Niche) is you. “المصباح” The Lamp are Hasan and Hussain, “الزجاجه” (the glass) is Ali-ibn-e-Hussain, “كَأَنَّها كَوْكَبٌ دُرِّيٌّ” (as it were a brilliant star) is Mohammad-ibn-e-Ali, “يُوقَدُ مِنْ شَجَرَةٍ” (Lit from a Tree) is Jafar-ibn-e-Mohammad, “مبارکه” (blessed) is Mousa-bn-e-jafar, “زیتونه” (olive) is Ali-ibn-e-Mousa, “لا شرقیه” (neither of the east) is Mohammad-ibn-e-Ali, “و لا غربیه” (nor of the west) is Ali-ibn-e-Mohammad, “یکاد زیتها” (whose oil) is Hasan-ibn-e-Ali and “يُضي‌ءُ” (well-nigh luminous) is Mahdi.))
Majlesi in volume 36 of Behar-ol-anvar narrated through Abousalmi that he stated: I heard from Prophet Mohammad (PH) that he stated: ((the night in which I have been ascended, the great God told me: ((The Apostle has faith in what has been sent down to him from his Lord.)) (Sura Baqara, verse 285) I told: ((and the faithful.)) he stated: ((you are right O Mohammad! Have you specified a successor for your ummah (society)?)) I told: (([I have chosen) the best.)) he stated: ((is he Ali-ibn-e-abitaleb?)) I told: ((yes, O God!)) he stated: ((O Mohammad! I had a look on the earth, I have chosen you among its habitants and I have emerged your name from my name; in a way that my name is not mentioned, unless your name is mentioned along my name too. So I am “محمود” (Mahmoud) and you are “محمد” (Mohammad). Then, again, I had a look on the earth, I have chosen Ali from it and I have emerged a name a name from my name. I am “اعلی” (A’la) and he is “علی” (Ali). O Mohammad! I have created you, Ali, Fateme, Hasan and Hussain from a shadow of my light and I have presented your “ولایت” (guardianship) to the inhabitants of skies and the earth; so anyone accepts it, he/she will be a faithful to me, and anyone denies it, will be an infidel to me. O Mohammad! If a servant from my servants worships me in a way that she/he is subjected to fatigue and become frayed like a dry water skin and then comes to me, while he/she is the denier of your guardianship, I will not forgive her/him until he/she accepts your guardianship. O Mohammad! Do you like to see them?)) I told: ((yes, O God!)) he stated: ((turn to the right of the heaven.)) when I turned, suddenly I saw Ali (AS), Fateme (SA), Hasan (AS), Hussain (AS), Ali (AS), Mohammad (AS), Jafar (AS), Mousa (AS), Ali (AS), Mohammad (AS), Ali (AS), Hasan (AS) and Mahdi (AJ) in a halo of light while standing and saying prayer. Mahdi (AJ) was among them and he was shining like a star from pearls.)) then he stated: ((O Mohammad! Those proofs and this revolver and revenger are from your family; O Mohammad! Swear to my esteem and glory! He (Imam Mahdi AJ) is the obliged proof for my saints and he is the avenger of my enemies.))
In the very mentioned source it has been narrated from Hazifat-ibn-e-yaman that said: I heard from Prophet Mohammad (PH) that he stated: ((when I have been ascended, I had a look at the base of the heaven. I saw it has been written with light that: there is no deity but God, Muhammad is the messenger of God, [I have] assisted him through Ali and helped him through him. And I saw Hasan, Hussain and Fateme. I saw in three position Ali, Ali and Ali and Mohammad and Mohammad, Jafar, Mousa and Hasan and I saw Hojat which was shining like a bright star among them. I told: ((O God! Who are they that you have brought their name along with your name?)) he stated: ((O Mohammad! They are guardians and Imams after you; whom I made from your nature. Good for the one who like them and woe to the one who is enemy of them. I will send rain through them and I regard and punish for their cause.)) then Prophet of God (PH) raised his hands to the sky and recited some prayers; I heard he stated: ((O God! Put knowledge and Islamic jurisprudence in my sons and sons of my sons and my cultivation and the cultivation of my cultivation.))
Seyyed hashem bahrani the writer of Al-borhan interpretation narrated from Imam Ali (AS) in the book “Al-mohja fima nazala f-el-Qaem-al-hojja” that he stated: ((یهدی الله لنوره من یشاء (God will guide anyone with his light) has been interpreted to Mahdi (AJ).))
