He said, “Would that I had some strength [to stop you] or could rely on a mighty support!” (from Rovad translation institute)

Sura Hood, verse 80

Explanation of the verse:

Majlesi in volume 12 of Behar-o-anvar, Ayashi in second volume of Al-ayashi interpretation, Ali-ibn-e-ibrahim qomi in first volume of Qomi interpretation, Arousi havizi in Noor-o-thaqaleyn interpretation and Seyyed hashem bahrani in Al-borhan fi tafsir-el-Quran have narrated from Saleh that said: Imam Sadeq (AS) about “لَوْ أَنَّ لِي بِكُمْ قُوَّةً” (He said, “Would that I had some strength) in this Sura and this verse of Quran stated: ((the meaning of “قوه” (strength) is Qaem (AJ) and the meaning of “رکن شدید” (a mighty support) Is 313 persons of his companions.))

Majlesi in volume 52 of Behar-ol-anvar, Sheykh Sadouq in second volume of Kamal-o-din,Arousi havizi in Noor-o-thaqaleyn interpretation and Seyyed Hashem bahrani in Al-borhan fi tafsir-el-Quran have narrated from Imam Sadeq (AS) that he stated: ((Lot (AS) has said the word “لَوْ أَنَّ لِي بِكُمْ قُوَّةً أَوْ آوِي إِلَى رُكْنٍ شَدِيدٍ” (“Would that I had some strength [to stop you] or could rely on a mighty support!”) only because he wished having Qaem (AJ)’s abilities and by saying “رکن شدید” (a mighty support) he meant he had the wish of power and abilities of Imam (AJ)’s companions; since any of Imam Zaman (AJ)’s companions has the power of 40 strong men and the heart of each of them is more firm than iron and if they pass mountains, those will be destroyed and disintegrated [but they stay stable] and until they do not achieve God’s satisfaction, they will not quit Jihad (fight for the sake of God) and they will not put their swords in the sheath.))
