Sura Haj, verse 39

Explanation of the verse:

Huseyni shahabd-ol-azimi im volume 9 of Athna ashari interpretation has narrated from Imam Sadeq (AS) that he stated: ((common people say this verse is revealed about Prophet (PH) when Quraish evicted him from Mecca; while it is about Qaem (AJ), when he revolts and demands about blood (martyrdom) of Imam Hussain (AS) and states: ((we are next of kin of that blood (martyrdom), and we are its demander.))

Thaqafi Tehrani in third volume of Ravan Javid interpretation has narrated through Majma-ol-bayan by Tabarsi from Imam Baqer (AS) near to mentioned content but Qomi has narrated that it is revealed about Imam Ali (AS), Jafar and Hamze and has emanated in Ummah (Islamic society) and in a hadith from Imam Sadeq (AS) it is interpreted to rising of Imam Zaman (AJ) and vengeance of Imam Hussain (AS) and they have no contradiction.

Seyyed Abd-ol-huseyn tayeb in Atyab-o-tebyan interpretation has written about this verse that: we have many reports with different interpretations that in some of them it is interpreted to Prophet (PH), Imam Ali (AS), Hamze and Jafar, in some of them it is interpreted to Imam Hasan (AS) and Imam Hussain (AS), in some of them to Imams (AS) and in some of them to Qaem (AJ). And it has been said repeatedly that the reports speak of the most perfect instance and this very difference in reports is a proof for this claim and has no contradiction with general of the verse. It is understood from the reports that: the promise of “وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى نَصْرِهِمْ لَقَدِيرٌ” (and Allah is indeed Most Capable of granting them victory) has many instances until the Qaem’s rising time.

Majlesi in volume 24 of Behar-ol-anvar and Ali-ibn-e-ibrahim in second volume of Qomi interpretation have written about this verse:

Qaem (AJ) in absence! In being evasive and living hidden is like Moses (AS); he will be fearful and hidden continuously until the time at which God will give the permission to advent, claiming right and killing his enemies. As so God stated in this verse: “أُذِنَ لِلَّذِينَ يُقَاتَلُونَ بِأَنَّهُمْ ظُلِمُوا وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى نَصْرِهِمْ لَقَدِير” (Permission [to fight] is given to those who are attacked; because they were oppressed, and Allah is indeed Most Capable of granting them victory).

Majlesi in mentioned book and also in volume 51, Estarabadi in Tavil-ol-ayat-o-zahera and Namani in Al-gheyba have narrated from Imam Baqer (AS) about this verse that he stated: ((this verse is about Mahdi (AJ) and his companions.))
