Verse:

هُمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَصَدُّوكُمْ عَنِ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَالْهَدْيَ مَعْكُوفًا أَنْ يَبْلُغَ مَحِلَّهُ وَلَوْلَا رِجَالٌ مُؤْمِنُونَ وَنِسَاءٌ مُؤْمِنَاتٌ لَمْ تَعْلَمُوهُمْ أَنْ تَطَئُوهُمْ فَتُصِيبَكُمْ مِنْهُمْ مَعَرَّةٌ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ لِيُدْخِلَ اللَّهُ فِي رَحْمَتِهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ لَوْ تَزَيَّلُوا لَعَذَّبْنَا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا

Sura Fath, verse 25

Translation:

They are the ones who denied Revelation and hindered you from the Sacred Mosque and the sacrificial animals, detained from reaching their place of

Sacrifice. Had there not been believing men and believing women whom ye did not know that ye were trampling down and on whose account a crime would have accrued to you without [your] knowledge, [Allah would have allowed you to force your way, but He held back your hands] that He may admit to His Mercy whom He will. If they had been apart, We should certainly have punished the Unbelievers among them with a grievous Punishment. (From www.tehranloh.ir)

Sura fath, verse 25

Explanation of the verse:

Thaqafi Tehrani in Ravan javid interpretation has used some of narrations (and concluded) that the reason of not defending of oppress of oppressors in Islam advent by Imam Ali (AS) was that, God had deposits of believers in loins of hypocrites (some of believers was to be born from hypocrite parents) and Imam (AS) was on duty to tolerate until they come out (born) then draw his sword and this will be the situation of Imam Zaman (AJ) too and delay in his appearing, (which can be realized) by arguing to this verse.

In volume 29 of Behar-ol-anvar by Majlesi, Al-borhan fi tafsir-el-Quran by seyyed Hashem bahrani, Noor-o-thaqaleyn interpretation, second volume of Kamal-o-din and first volume of Elal-o-sharaye, all of them have narrated from Sheykh sadouq and he narrated from Ibrahim karkhi that: I told Imam Sadeq (AS): was not Imam Ali (AS) powerful and brave in the way of religion of God? Imam (AS) stated: ((yes.)) (He was) I told: so why a group have won over he and he did not defend himself? What was the reason? Imam (AS) stated: ((one of the verses of Quran has prevented him from doing that.)) I told: which verse? Imam (AS) stated: ((God stated: “لَوْ تَزَيَّلُوا لَعَذَّبْنَا الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا “(If they had been apart, We should certainly have punished the Unbelievers among them with a grievous Punishment) God has put some believers among children of infidels and hypocrites. Imam Ali (AS) did not intend to fight them until those children and grandchildren born. When they born, Imam Ali (AS) has fought with the ones of them who declared their enmity. Qaem (AJ) is as such also. He will appear when the believers who should be born from the generation of infidels, are born. Then, he will attack infidels and kill them.))
