The virtues of Imam zaman in the verse Sura Borooj and Realizing of relationship between Quran and Mahdism
Verse:
وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الْبُرُوجِ
Sura Borooj, verse 1
Translation:

Explanation of the verse:
Sheikh mofid in Al-ekhtesas has narrated from Prophet Muhammad (PH) that stated: ((the meaning of بروج (the Zodiacal Signs) in this verse are Imams (AS) who the first of them is Imam Ali (AS) and the last of them is Imam Mahdi (AJ).))
Huseyni shahabd-ol-azimi in volume 14 of Athna ashari interpretation have writed in detail about this issue.
والسماء ذات البروج: and swear to sky which owns and displays the zodiacal signs.
- Its meaning is duodecimal solar months; including: Aries, Taurus, the Gemini, Carcinoma, Lion, Virgo, Libra, Scorpion, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces. They are similar to palaces in the height of their position. Moon in each solar month lacks 2 days and sun in each, one month.
- Its meaning is grand stars and naming them to بروج (displaying the Zodiacal Signs) is because of their appearing.
- The meaning is doors of skies; which sent (things) come out from them.
- The meaning of بروج (here may mean palaces) of sky, is castles in it which are (built) with red gold, green chrysotile, white silver, gem and pearl. They are the places where angles worship as so earth is the place of worship for human beings.
- Sheikh mofid in Al-ekhtesas by his citing to Asbagh-ibn-e-nobate narrated from Ibn-e-abbas that Prophet Muhammad (PH) stated: ((the ذکر (remembrance and telling) of the honored and glorified God is kind of worship, and telling of me is kind of worship and telling of Imams (AS) is kind of worship. Swear to the one who sent me on a mission to be the Prophet and made me the best creature. Verily my successor is superior to other successors; he is the حجت (proof) of God to his worshipers, he is the caliphate of God to his creatures, and Imams (AS) after me are his sons. God through them locks the torment not to happen for people on earth and because of them God holds the sky not to collapse on the earth, unless with command of God. And God holds mountains not to shake through them and also through them, quench the thirst of creatures with rain and makes plants to come out from the earth. They are اولیاء (guardians appointed by) God justly and caliphates of God honestly. The number of them is the number of months and 12 [people ندبه (wailer)] which is the number of tunnels of Moses (AS). Then recited: ((والسماء ذات البروج)) (By the sky, [displaying] the Zodiacal Signs). God swears to the sky which has and displays Zodiacal signs.)) Ibn-e-abbas asked, Prophet (PH) stated: ((I am (the meaning of) sky and بروج (the Zodiacal Signs) are Imams (AS) after me; the first of them is Ali (AS) and the last of them is Mahdi (AJ).))

Explanation of the verse:
In volume 36 of Behar-il-anvar, Al-ekhtesas by Sheikh mofid and Al-borhan interpretation it has been narrated through Ibn-e-abbas from Prophet Muhammad (PH) in this way that he recited the verse والسماء ذات البروج (By the sky, [displaying] the Zodiacal Signs), then stated: (O Ibn-e-abbas! Do you suppose that when God swears to sky which has firmaments, really he means sky and constellations?)) I asked: ((O Prophet of God (PH)! So what is its meaning?)) He stated: ((the meaning of sky is me and the constellations are Imams (AS) after me, who first of them is Ali (AS) and the last of them is Mahdi (AJ).))
Al-ravandi in Qesas-ol-anbia and also Abd-e-ali-ibn-e-jomet-al-arousi havizi in Noor-o-thaqaleyn interpretation narrated through Asbagh-ibn-e-nobate that once upon a time Imam Ali (AS) took hand of Hasan (AS) and came to us; he stated: ((one day I was with Prophet Muhammad (PH) when he was asked about Imams (AS) after him.)) the Prophet (PH) replied to the one who asked: ((swear to the sky, [displaying] the Zodiacal Signs! That the number of Imams (AS) after me is the same as the number of these Zodiacal Signs. And swear to the God (the creator) of these days and nights and months! That the number of Imams (AS) is the same as the number of these months.)) The one who asked, made another question: ((who are them?)) the Prophet (PH) put his hand on my head and stated: ((the first of them is him (Imam Ali (AS) and the last of them is Mahdi (AJ).))
