The virtues of Imam zaman in the verse Sura Anaam and Realizing of relationship between Quran and Mahdism

Verse:

هَلْ يَنْظُرُونَ إِلاَّ أَنْ تَأْتِيَهُمُ الْمَلائِكَةُ أَوْ يَأْتِيَ رَبُّكَ أَوْ يَأْتِيَ بَعْضُ آياتِ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَ يَأْتي بَعْضُ آياتِ رَبِّكَ لا يَنْفَعُ نَفْساً إيمانُها لَمْ تَكُنْ آمَنَتْ مِنْ قَبْلُ أَوْ كَسَبَتْ في إيمانِها خَيْراً قُلِ انْتَظِرُوا إِنَّا مُنْتَظِرُونَ

Sura Anaam, verse 158

 

Translation:

Do they not consider that the angels may come to them, or your Lord may come, or some of your Lord’s signs may come? The day when some of your Lord’s signs do come, faith shall not benefit any soul that had not believed beforehand and had not earned some goodness in its faith. Say, ‘Wait! We too are waiting!’

Sura Anaam, verse 158

Explanation of the verse:

Huseyni shahabd-ol-azimi in third voume of Athna ashari interpretation has written about this verse and the part “أَوْ يَأْتِيَ رَبُّكَ “(or your Lord may come) that: the point that an impossible issue comes which is coming of your Lord, or the command of Lord of repentance, which is sinking or killing, comes or all of his signs, which the signs of Doomsday are a lot, come. The great events of that day is uproar of antichrist, Dabat-ol-arz (earth living creature), sinking, coming down of Christ, advent of Mahdi (AJ) from Al-e-Muhammad (family of Muhammad PH), emerging of Gog and Magog and sunrise from west, all are signs of your Lord. He by narrating from Ekmal-o-din by Sheikh Mofid narrated from Imam Sadeq (AS) that he stated about this verse: ((it means the rising of waited for Qaem (AJ).)) he stated: ((the meaning of signs is Imams (AS) and the meaning of waited for sign is Qaem (AJ); so at that day no one’s faith is useful [if he/she did not confess faith before Qaem (AJ)’s coming)) Sa’sa’e, the narrator of the narration, has interpreted sunrise from west to coming of Qaem (AJ).

Sheikh Sadouq in first and second volume of Kamal-o-din and Majlesi in volume 51 of Behar-ol-anvar have narrated from Imam Reza (AS) that he stated: ((in “يَوْمَ يَأْتي بَعْضُ آياتِ رَبِّكَ لا يَنْفَعُ نَفْساً إيمانُها لَمْ تَكُنْ آمَنَتْ مِنْ قَبْلُ” (The day when some of your Lord’s signs do come, faith shall not benefit any soul that had not believed beforehand) the signs are Imams (AS) and the waited for sign is Qaem (AJ) from Al-e-Muhammad (family of Prophet Muhammad PH). So at that day the one who did not confess to Islam before Imam Zaman (AJ)’s rising with sword, his/her faith will have no benefit to her/him; even if he/she believes in Imam’s past fathers.))

Majlesi in volume 64 of Behar-ol-anvar has written a narration from Imam Sadeq (AS) that: “الآیات” (signs) is Imams (AS) and “الآیة المنتظرة” (waited for sign) is Qaem (AJ). at that day the faith of the one who did not confess to Islam beforehand, will have no benefit to her/him; even if he/she believes in Imam’s past fathers.))

Arousi havizi in Noor-o0thaqaleyn interpretation and Sheikh Sadouq in second volume of Kamal-o-din have narrated from Imam Sadeq (AS) about this verse that he stated: ((its meaning is uprising by waited for Qaem (AJ), who is one of us.))

Majlesi in volume 24 of Behar-ol-anvar and Ab-ol-qasem forat-ibn-e-ibrahim in Forat koufi interpretation, with a little verbal difference, have narrated through Kheythame that: I asked from Imam Baqer (AS) about the verse “يَوْمَ يَأْتي بَعْضُ آياتِ رَبِّكَ لا يَنْفَعُ نَفْساً إيمانُها لَمْ تَكُنْ آمَنَتْ مِنْ قَبْلُ” (The day when some of your Lord’s signs do come, faith shall not benefit any soul that had not believed beforehand). He stated: ((its meaning is liking and helping our family.)) I told: as much as God makes me successful I make effort with tongue, hand and heart in your way. He stated: ((O Kheythame! Helping with tongue (speech) is like helping with sword and helping with two hands is better. Quran is devised into three parts; one third of it, is about our family and one third of it, is about our enemies and one third of it, is commands and (religious) rules. If a verse is revealed about a specific group who are died, and the meaning and content of the verse become destroyed also, no longer something remains of Quran. The whole Quran is adaptable as far as sky and the earth is stable. Any group has a verse which they read it. O Kheythame! Islam was lonely at its initial and it will be lonely in future also; Good for lonely. O Kheythame! There would come a day for people at which, they do not know God and monotheism until the coming of antichrist and until when Christ (AS), the son of Maryam SA, comes down from sky and God will antichrist with his hand and one of us, Ahl-e-bayt (family of Prophet Muhammad (PH); including Imam Ali (AS), Lady Fateme (SA), Imam Hasan (AS) and Imam Hussain (AS) will be their Imam (leader) and say prayer. Cannot you see Christ (AS) says prayer behind us; while he is a Prophet, we are superior than and higher than him.))

Majlesi in volume 52, Sheikh Sadouq in second volume of Ekmal-o-din and Seyyed Hashem bahrani in Al-borhan fi tafsir-el-Quran have narrated through Abou basir that: Imam Sadeq (AS) stated: ((“يَوْمَ يَأْتي بَعْضُ آياتِ رَبِّكَ لا يَنْفَعُ نَفْساً إيمانُها لَمْ تَكُنْ آمَنَتْ مِنْ قَبْلُ أَوْ كَسَبَتْ في إيمانِها خَيْراً” (Do they not consider that the angels may come to them, or your Lord may come, or some of your Lord’s signs may come? The day when some of your Lord’s signs do come, faith shall not benefit any soul that had not believed beforehand and had not earned some goodness in its faith) means the rising of waited for Qaem (AJ) among us.)) then stated: ((O Abou basir! Good for the followers of our Qaem (AJ), who are waiting for his advent at absence era and his followers at his advent era. They are saints of God who have no fear nor they become anxious or sad.))
