Verse:
وَمَا أُمِرُوا إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ حُنَفَاءَ وَيُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُوا الزَّكَاةَ وَذَلِكَ دِينُ الْقَيِّمَةِ
Sura Bayene, verse 5
Translation:
And they have been commanded no more than this: To worship Allah, offering
Him sincere devotion, being true [in faith]; to establish regular prayer; and to

Explanation of the verse:
Husayni shah abd-ol-azimi in Athna ashari interpretation has written that “و ما امروا” (And they have been commanded no more than this) means the followers of Christianity and Jews have not been commanded to (do) what is in Torah and Bible. “الا لیعبدوا” (To worship Allah) means (they have been commanded just) to worship God. “مخلصین” (sincere) means offering Him sincere devotion) means while they are pure and purer. “له الدین” (the religion for him) means of their religion, for the sake of God, from polytheism and infidelity. “حنفاء” (being true in faith) means (while they are) moving from false ideologies to Islam. “و یقیموالصلاه” (to establish regular prayer) means (they should) say their obligatory prayers at their (definite) time. The (general) meaning (of the verse) is that they have not been commanded in Torah and Bible in anything else than orthodox religion. But they have tampered with it and they have rebelled. “و ذلک دین القیمه” (and that is the Religion Right and Straight) means and what they have been commanded to, is a religion for God and a society who are doers (their works) for the sake of God with believing in a single God or the straight just religion. Seyyed abd-ol-husayn tayeb in Atyab-o-tebyan to explain the final part of the verse has written that “و ذلک دین القیمه” (and that is the Religion Right and Straight); the firm religion which is the general of the felicity of this world and the other world and is the inheritor of redeem of dangerous situations of two phases of creation, is this very religion of Islam with some conditions which are told repeatedly and the most important one of them is believing in Imamate (leadership) of twelve Imams (AS) without any innovation in religion, the essential denial, disdain to religious holies and sins which causes the decline of religion (in a person). Estarabadi also, in Al-ayat-o-zahera interpretation, based on a narration from Imam Sadeq (AS), has known the meaning of “دین القیمه” (the right and straight religion) as Imam Zaman (AJ).

Explanation of the verse:
In volume 23 of Behar-ol-anvar it is narrated from Imam Baqer (AS) about this verse that he stated: ((and it was commanded to these groups to only worship God and make their religion pure for him (God). Purity is believing in God and Prophet Muhammad (PH) and Imams (AS). The meaning of وَيُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُوا الزَّكَاةَ (to establish regular prayer; and to practice regular charity);
is the prayer and charity of Imam Ali (AS). وَذَلِكَ دِينُ الْقَيِّمَةِ (And that is the Religion Right and Straight.) points out to Lady Fateme (SA).)) But in volume 26 of Behar-ol-anvar it has been narrate from Imam Ali (AS) that he stated: ((cognition with holy aspect, is the cognition of God and cognition of God is cognition of me which the holy aspect. This is the pure religion that God states: “وَمَا أُمِرُوا إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ حُنَفَاءَ وَيُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُوا الزَّكَاةَ وَذَلِكَ دِينُ الْقَيِّمَةِ” (And they have been commanded no more than this: To worship Allah, offering Him sincere devotion, being true [in faith]; to establish regular prayer; and to practice regular charity; and that is the Religion Right and Straight.) God states: ((it has been commanded to them to just have faith in prophecy of Prophet Muhammad (PH) which is the simple orthodox Mohammadan religion. This part of verse: و یقیموالصلاه (to establish regular prayer); anyone who establishes my Velayat (guardianship) has established the prayer… anyone who does not confess to my Velayat (guardianship), confessing to prophecy of Prophet Muhammad (PH) has no good for him/her. These two are correlate and companion with each other. The reason is that Prophet Muhammad (PH) is a sent on mission prophet and Imam of people. Ali (AS) is after him and executor of Prophet Muhammad (PH). As Prophet Muhammad (PH) stated: ((you are like Aaron (AS) for Moses (AS) in relation to me; except that there is no prophet after me.)) the first one of us is called Muhammad (PH) and the middle one of us is Muhammad (AS) and the last one of us is Muhammad(AJ). Anyone who has the perfect cognition of me, she/he has firm and stable religion; as in this verse God states: ذلک دین القیمه. (And that is the Religion Right and Straight.)
In volume 23 of Behar-ol-anvar and also in Al-borhan fi tafsir-el-Quran it has been narrated from Imam Sadeq (AS) that he stated: ((و ذلک دین القیمه (And that is the Religion Right and Straight.) that religion is the religion of Qaem (AJ).))
