The virtues of Imam Mahdi in verse 39 of Surah Anfal
And fight (with deniers) until there would be no seduction and corruption and the religion of everyone be the religion of God. If they quit their infidelity, verily (they know that) God sees their actions.
The above verse bods that paganism and infidelity should be eroded and religion should be just for God and there should not stay any pagan on the earth unless be killed or entered Islam. This purpose is not reached yet; while it should be reached and seduction should be removed from the earth and religion be purely for God. According to narrations this purpose will be reached in the age of advent of Imam Mahdi (AJ) as it was pointed to in the verse 33 in sura Tawbe. Among sunni scholars Aloosi in fifth volume of Rooh-ol-maani fi tafsir-ol-quran-ol-azim has written: the meaning is that all of the Void religions should be eroded, means that whether the followers of religion be perished or return to Islam out of fear. He continues the interpretation of the verse is not reached yet and at the time of Imam Mahdi’s advent its interpretation will come and at that age no pagan would remain on the earth. In second volume of Tafsir-al-safi by Mola Mohsen feyz kashani narrated from Imam Sadegh (AS) about it: the interpretation of the verse has not came yet and when our Qaem revolts, soon the ones who appreciate him see its interpretation. Of course until that time Mohammad’s religion will reach all of the spots which night cover them peacefully until all around the earth there would be not paganism and idolatry. Qeraati in Tafsir noor says the context of this verse has no disagreement with <<la ekraha fedin>> (there is no obligation in religion) because seduction and corruption should be eroded in order to no make a space for free-will and choice of human being. In tafsir ravan javid by Mohammad Thafhafi tehrani from Majma-ol-bayan by Tabarsi and Tafsir ayashi from Imam Sadegh(AS) has narrated that the interpretation of the verse has not came yet And when our Qaem comes, the one who sees him would appreciate its interpretation and the complete context of this verse and Mohammad(PH) ‘s religion should take all of the world in order to remain no paganism on the earth. Seyyed Abd-ol-hussain Tayeb in Tafsir Atyab-ol-bayan says in << va ghateloohom>> (and kill them) however apparently the source of the pronoun are infidels of Koraysh but with regarding << hatta la takoona fetna>> (until no seduction remains) which the intention of seduction is corruption which includes infidelity, paganism, aberration, oppress and debauchery and all of them should be eroded from the earth and this is the feature of Imam Zaman (AJ) so command of «kill them» is addressed to companions of him and the source of pronoun are all infidels and leaders of strayings, oppressors and debauchers; « va yakoon-al-dino kolohoo lellah» (and all of the religion be for the God) which is in consecutive reports.
