The summary of the sermon:

. pointing out to grandeur and uniqueness of God

. insisting on the war condition and confrontation with enemies of Islam

. glorification of bravery and dedication of warriors of Islam

. warning to enemies of Islam and threatening them to destruction

. insisting on the unavoidable failure of enemies ahead of Muslims

. inviting to unity of Muslims against enemies

. insisting on the integrity for victory in the war

36 A.H. (At the time of the battle of the Camel)

 

The audiences of the sermon:

The army of Imam Ali (AS) in the battle of the Camel

The purpose of the sermon:

The reason of performing this sermon, was to prepare Muslims for war and encouraging them to (have) beavery and resistance against the enemies of Islam. This sermon was performed in the situation in which the Islamic society was encountered with the enemies (including: part of the Muslim society who was deceived by some of power-hungry companions (of Prophet Mohammad PH) who aimed to endanger stability and security of the Muslims by causing fraction and disunity. Imam Ali (AS) by performing this sermon aimed to:

1.invite Muslims to unity and integrity; in order to confront with the enemies with power and faith.

2.warn the enemies: he announced the enemies that: their victory ahead of Muslims is not possible and the failure is surely for them.

3.encorage to (have) bravery: Imam Ali (AS) invites the fighters to dedication, self-sacrifice and resistance and makes them hopeful to victory.

 

The chosen sentences:

. the great God is unique and his power is predominant to everything.

. O enemies of God! Do know that, soon you will be perished by the right (God).

. Muslims! Your unity and integrity is an armor which no enemy can overcome it.

. this battlefield, is a test of your faith and the enemies are impotent ahead of your will.
