. mention the muddle condition of the world, before Prophet Mohammad (PH)’s prophetic mission and prevalence of the reverse values and corruption and people living in astray and ignorance

 

. introducing Prophet Mohammad (PH) as the savior of the people from astray and their guide toward the Right

 

. (speaking about) the end of Prophet Mohammad (PH)’s prophecy and surrendering the responsibility of guiding people, to Imams (AS)

. mentioning the condition of the ones who changed to worldliness and departed from the right way

The purpose of the sermon:

The primary reason of performing the 11th sermon, was warning the Islamic society about the worldliness and ignoring the Islamic values. Imam Ali (AS)’s goals in this sermon in order to correct and awareness raising of Muslims, including:

Blaming the return to the age of ignorance:   after Prophet Mohammad (PH)’s departure, some of Muslims have returned to the ignorant manners and Imam Ali (AS), through this sermon, was trying to beware them from these aberrations.

 

Admonishing about the original Islamic values: Imam Ali (AS) was inviting the society to return to Islamic values and avoid the worldliness and avoid ignoring the other world. He invited Muslims to follow Prophet Mohammad (PH)’s doctrines and avoid the worldly minding.
