Quran the leader and the guide
Quran the leader and the guide :
In the words of Imam Ali (AS) in Nahj-ol-balaqe, Quran has been introduced as the proof, scale, sign and the way; it means that the word of Allah (Quran) has been known as the standard for recognizing the accuracy and inaccuracy and we should follow it and it is our leader and guide. Subjective interpretation is blamed; it means that people should make their opinions subjected to Quran not to paraphrase and interpret the Quran of God according to their idea and opinion. In sermon 87, beside blaming, to describe the ones who pretend to be a learned man while they have no knowledge and say crooked words just like ignorant and strayed people and release these words in order to deceive naive people and convince them, Imam Ali (AS) stated:
((they suppose the book (Quran) according to their ideas and opinions and interpret the Right according to their requires and desires.))
This age, is the period which Imam (AS) has predicted correctly that something else than the word of God (Quran) is the leader and guide of the people. The time in which the bearers (knowers) of Quran put it aside and (the ones who) know Quran by heart, pretend to forget it. At that age, Quran and the people of it are rejected and secluded. Quran and the people of it are among people but not with them. They are (apparently) with people but are not (really) with them.
This condition, is at the age in which people do not know Quran as the leader and guide and do not follow it; but also they want to make Quran to be along with their purposes, intends and acts not to match themselves with Quran.
This predictive speech is in sermon 147. In its following, Imam (AS) criticizes the dissension of people and knows it as the result of distancing from Quran and not accepting the role of leadership and guidance for Quran and states:
((evidently, they are the leaders of Quran and Quran is not their leader.))
His speech is correspondent to words of Prophet (PH) who stated: ((you should set Quran as your leader and guide.)) in second volume of Kanz-ol-ammal also, it has been narrated from him that stated: ((anyone sets Quran as his/her prelude and leader, it will guide her/him to the paradise and anyone puts it behind himself/herself, it will lead her/him to the hell.))
