Imam Hussain’s hadith about reason

1- لا يَكْمُلُ الْعَقْلُ إِلا بِاتّبَاعِ الْحَقّ
عقل جز با پيروى از حق، كامل نمى‏شود
اعلام الدین ص 298
Wisdom without following right, would not get perfect.

2- قيلَ: مَا الْفَضْلُ؟ قالَ (عليه السلام): مُلْكُ اللِّسانِ، وَ بَذْلُ الاْحْسانِ
پرسش شد: فضيلت انسان در چيست؟ فرمودند: در اختيار داشتن زبان و سخاوت داشتن

It was asked: what is the excellence of a human? (He) said: holding tongue and having generosity.

3- قيلَ: فَمَا النَّقْصُ؟ قالَ: التَّكَلُّفُ لِما لا يُعنيكَ
سؤال شد نقص انسان در چيست؟ فرمود: خود را وا داشتن بر آنچه كه مفيد و سودمند نباشد.

It was asked that what is the human’s flaw? (He) said him/herself to what is not useful and beneficial.

4- إنَّ أجْوَدَ النّاسِ مَنْ أعْطى مَنْ لا يَرْجُوهُ،
همانا سخاوتمندترين مردم آن كسى است كه كمك نمايد به كسى كه اميدى به وى نداشته است.

Verily the most generous of people is the one who help someone who did not have any hope to him/her.

5- عِباداللهِ! لا تَشْتَغِلُوا بِالدُّنْيا، فَإنَّ الْقَبْرَ بَيْتُ الْعَمَلِ، فَاعْمَلُوا وَ لا تَغْعُلُوا
اى بندگان خدا، خود را مشغول دنيا نباشید كه همانا قبر، خانه عمل است پس عمل صالح بجاآورید و غفلت نکنید
نهج الشّهادة – ص 47
O servants of God, do not be busy with (this) world that surely the grave, is the house of deed so do righteous deed and do not neglect.
