1- مِن دَلائِلِ عَلاماتِ القَبولِ : الجُلوسُ إلى أهلِ العُقولِ؛
از نشانه هاى خوش نامى و نيك بختى ، همنشينى با خردمندان است.

One of the signs of reputability and felicity, is sitting together with wises.

2- مِن عَلاماتِ أسبابِ الجَهلِ المُماراةُ لِغَيرِ أهلِ الفِكرِ
از نشانه هاى اسباب نادانى ، مجادله با غير اهل انديشه است

One of the causes of ignorance, is contention with (people) other than people of thought.

3- مِن دَلائِلِ العالِمِ انتِقادُهُ لِحَديثِهِ وعِلمُهُ بِحَقائِقِ فُنُونِ النَّظَرِ
از نشانه هاى دانا ، نقّادى (و بررسى) گفتار خود و آگاهى او از حقايق فنون رأى (و نظر) است.

One of the signs of a learned, is criticizing him/herselve’s speech and her/his awareness of techniques of commenting.

4- لِلسَّلامِ سَبعونَ حَسَنَةً ، تِسعٌ و سِتّونَ لِلمُبتَدِى ءِ وواحِدَةٌ لِلرّادِّ
سلام را هفتاد حسنه (و پاداش نيك) باشد : شصت و نُه حسنه از آنِ سلام دهنده و يك حسنه از آنِ پاسخ گوينده آن است

Saying Hello has seventy goodness(and reward) : 69 of them are for the teller of Hello and one of them is for the response giver of it.

5- اَلبَخيلُ مَن بَخِلَ بِالسَّلامِ
بخيل ، كسى است كه در سلام كردن بخل ورزد.

The mean(person), is the one who grudge to say Hello.
